Fellowship Hall

Lower Level

Our Fellowship Hall is our largest space and is perfect for larger social, spiritual or business gatherings. This space features:

A 54’ x 44’ hall with 2390 square feet of space, located on the lower level of the church. It offers walk out access to the rear of the church, interior access via a handicap lift or stairs, an elevated stage, 20 eight foot tables and 19 six-foot tables (tables seat six to eight people each), and 180+ chairs.

The Fellowship Hall is directly connected to our Kitchen that may be rented as an add on. The Kitchen offers a sink, a gas oven/range, a microwave oven and a refrigerator. 

Rental fee is $50 per event up to 4 hours. Events lasting more than 4 hours will be charged an additional fee of $15 per hour.  In addition,  a $100 security deposit will be required in the form of a separate check.

Classroom or Vestry

Main Level

Our classrooms are located along a center hallway on the main level of the church education building with access via stairs or lift.  Our Vestry is located below the Sanctuary with access via stairs or wheel chair ramp.  Classrooms and Vestry are available individually for rental for short term meeting or educational space, or as a space for a school or preschool from Monday-Saturday.  Sunday is reserved for WCUMC Sunday School. There are a total of 8 classrooms ranging in size from 220 sq.ft. to 480 sq.ft.  Each classroom includes adjustable height tables and chairs. The library offers upholstered couches and chairs. The nursery offers infant/toddler appropriate facilities including changing table and toys.

Kitchen

Lower Level

Our kitchen offers a gas oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer as well as coffee pots. The kitchen has direct access to Fellowship Hall.

Rental fee is $50 per event up to 4 hours. Events lasting more than 4 hours will be charged an additional fee of $15 per hour.  In addition,  a $100 security deposit will be required in the form of a separate check.

Kitchen can not be used for commercial preparations at this time. See contract details for more information.

Lounge
Lower Level

The lower level lounge offers a cozy space with upholstered couches and chairs. The room is approximately 20’ x 20’ offering approximately 410 square feet of space. Space is adjacent to Fellowship Hall and may be added on to Fellowship Hall rentals as extra/private space.

Lounge rental fee is $50 per event up to 4 hours. Events lasting more than 4 hours will be charged an additional fee of $15 per hour.  In addition,  a $100 security deposit will be required in the form of a separate check.

Setup/Cleanup

Renters are responsible for setting up chairs, tables, etc. and must clean up afterward including trash removal, sweeping crumbs off the floor, etc.  Setup and cleanup must be completed within the rental timeframe.

Amenities

20 x 8 foot tables, and 19 x 6 foot tables and 150+ chairs.  Renters must provide their own tablecloths.
WCUMC provides toilet paper and trash bags. All other paper goods, dish towels, dishes, utensils, platters, etc. are the responsibility of the renter.
The church does not have air conditioning. 

Food/Alcohol

See contract for details regarding food, No alcohol is allowed on church property.

DJ equipment/Noise

DJ and music are allowed only in Fellowship Hall until 9PM with consideration for neighbors. Podium and Microphone allowed for functions. Renters must bring there own sound system.

Decorations

Decorations are allowed, as long as fixings are only temporary, e.g. tape, push pins etc.  

Parking

Renters may have use of the church parking lot, park along Main Street or park on the left side of Joy Street. Please do not block neighbors driveways or mailboxes. Please do not park in the staff reserved spots.

NOTE: The Town of Chelmsford enforces a Winter Parking Ban, therefore, street parking may be restricted during winter months.
